Application procedure

The first term/semester will start in September 2026 in Wageningen, Netherlands.

To apply for the Double Degree MSc Agroecology – Resilient Farming and Food Systems, you will need to :

– fill the online application form for Wageningen MSc Resilient Farming and food systems via the Studielink platform.

– and also fill the ISARA information form and upload the requiered documents.

Mandatory documents

Students can prepare the following documents for their application, in English:

– A statement of purpose from the candidate describing his/her interest in agroecology and the double degree WUR/ISARA (reasons for applying and any other information applicants want to include in support of your application: among the topics applicants may wish to cover are how their previous education and experience relates to the course, and how the course fits into their long-term academic or career plans)

– A reference letter (can send 2 if you will) written by a professor under whom the applicant has studied or carried out research or someone who has supervised a work/internship related to the applicant’s field of study. You can download an example here.

– A copy with translation in English of the student degree(s) :
>> For Applicants currently in the last year of BSc, a copy of the BSc will be required at least a month before the start of the programme (July).
>> For non-EU applicants and because of VISA procedures, a copy of the BSc will be required at least 6 months before the start of the programme (March).

– A copy with translation in English of official transcripts from all colleges and universities or any other institution or higher education attended. The transcript must show the GPA as well as the grading system.

– An official evidence of English proficiency issued by a recognized language institute (TOEFL 90 (22 Speaking), IELTS 6.5 (6 Speaking), or other equivalent test scores). Please double check on the WUR website to make sure requirement hasn’t changed. Please use the C128 code number when indicating your institution (ISARA) as a score recipient on the ETS website. Scores will then be sent to ISARA directly from ETS.

– A curriculum vitae

– A copy of the candidate passport.

Selection

Your complete application will be examined, and if more information are needed you will be contacted by e-mail or phone. The final selection will be done by the committee and the results will be communicated at the end of April at the latest.

Admission & Language

Admission to the programme

All students having a BSc-degree or equivalent based on 180 ECTS in agriculture, horticulture, ecology, biology, economics, food sciences, rural sociology or other fields related to agriculture or the food sector may apply for this course.

Language

Applicants should have the required language skills to attend classes and carry out the required work in English. The academic board will decide on the students’ eligibility to take the course, thanks to their written application (certificates, marks, time spent in English-speaking countries) and/or English language test (TOEFL IBT: 90 (22 in Speaking), IELTS: 6.5 (6.0 in Speaking), Cambridge: First Certificate A – Advance Certificate C).

Language courses in French, English or Dutch are offered during the different semester.
